Bio: Rob Batorski is a Creative Director and designer based in Scottsdale, Arizona, and the founder of HALFPAST8 — a studio focused on helping brands stand out in a world full of sameness. With over a decade of experience, he builds brands, products, and visuals that feel real, not manufactured.
His work is rooted in a hands-on approach — drawing, building, and refining everything from the ground up. Known for bold typography, raw texture, and intentional imperfection, Rob creates work that feels lived-in and human.
At the core, his philosophy is simple: good design should make you feel something. Not just look good on a screen, but leave a lasting impression in the real world.
What are you working on now? Rob is currently building and scaling Known Reference, working with emerging and established brands to refine identity, packaging, and creative direction. He’s also developing original product concepts and physical goods designed for everyday spaces — simple, functional ideas with a strong brand presence and viral potential.
